Eastfield Ward. CramlingtonEastfield Community ProjectsKelly Goddard 07701086287 kellyklgoddard@icloud.com Social MediaWe are providing food relief in the Eastfield Ward area of cramlington. We have linked up with blyth cva and the town council community engagement officer. We are receiving regular donations of surplus items from FareShare north east. This is a weekly donation we receive. Our main focus for food relief are people impacted by furlough, out of work because of lock down, and elderly residents who face isolating alone. We also help families with children isolating. Once things return to normal our criteria will be more flexible but currently we are focusing on individuals and families impacted the hardest by lockdown. We are also aiming to help our residents recreationally by providing wellbeing packages. We also aim to set up a food stop in the Eastfield estates for people to collect surplus items they need, which will reduce food waste as currently we are unable to store surplus food items as we don’t have a base. So currently we are receiving donations packing hampers and delivering them to door stops in the same day. It would be great to have a food stop for residents who are still in need to be able to help them selves too.
